A family favorite

this is what i made for dinner tonight.  it is one of our favorites.  it is also quick and easy.  i usually always have the ingredients on hand.

P1030951

Tater Tot Casserole

2 cups hamburger mix

1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen tater tots

2 cans cream of mushroom soup  ( i usually use 1 cream of mushroom & 1 cream of chicken)

1 soup can water or milk (i use milk)

shredded cheese for top

pour tater tots in a 9x13 pan.  mix together soup and water or milk.  add hamburger mix & stir.  pour mixture over tater tots in pan.  sprinkle with cheese.  cover with foil and bake 35-45 minutes @ 375.  remove foil and bake another 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.

and while i was shredding cheese for dinner, this is what luke was up to.

Easter

P1030858

saturday night, mom & i spent the night at grandma nevada’s house. we went to church with her this morning.  the easter bunny found me at grandma’s house.  i got a few cars, bubbles, a ball with a velcro glove, and an alphabet puzzle.

don’t i look HANDSOME in my easter outfit?

after church, i helped grandma make a texas sheet cake for easter dinner.  i got a little chocolate on my foot that i thought i should lick off.  YUMMMMM!

then pepper called to see if i wanted to do an easter egg hunt with reese up at the park.  reese’s friend, david, also came.  amy filled all the eggs with candy and pepper hid them all.  i got a little head start so i could find eggs on the ground.  after david filled his basket, he started finding eggs to put in my basket.  thanks david.

to end our long day, we went over to nana’s house for easter dinner.  mom and grandma brought desserts.  we also sang happy birthday to me and i also got a few presents.  oh, and another little egg hunt just for me.  (except there were a few eggs with money in them)

it’s been a wonderful, roller coaster ride, honey.

we started of being sick on our honeymoon, and we celebrated our first anniversary being sick.  our second anniversary was spent in the hospital because our pride and joy was born 2 days before.  i think we were all sick last year.  this year is different-  NO ONE is sick or in the hospital.  i am not quite sure i know how to handle a sick-free anniversary.   anyway, we celebrated a few days early by going out to dinner to the KEG.  thanks for letting luke spend the night, mom.  it was after all conference weekend.

jeff is a wonderful husband and father.  i love that he helps me around the house.  i love that he will make dinner sometimes. i love tat sometimes he will just listen to me. he really is a great guy & i am lucky to have him in my life.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HONEY!!

WHOOHOO! LUKE'S 2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE!!

Luke had his 2 year check up today. NO SHOTS- YEAH! the nurse said that if he was caught up on all his shots, then he doesn't need any more til he's 4. anyway, he is 251/2 pounds and 331/2 inches. the doctor said if you double his height at 2, that is how tall he will be (so about 5'7'') 25% for both.
got my shoes on and i'm ready
after the doctors, we went out to breakfast at IHOP.
we took his shirt off so it would stay clean. mmmmmmmmm.. pancakes, eggs, and bacon.

luke is talking a lot more lately. it's GREAT! he finally started saying please a few weeks ago ( i was thrilled when he said it). he is just a fantastic kid to have. (& cute, too) i love him so much.
