fun with uncle matt

uncle matt came over the other night to have dad look at his car.  while dad was outside fixing the car, matt came inside to play with me.  uncle matt is so much fun.

Cinco de Mayo

Pepper & Amy had a party for all the neighborhood kids tonight.  luke & i went too. jeff missed out because he had school.  it was held at the green-belt just around the corner from their house.

pepper & amy had a lot of fun things for the kids to do.  a giant sized ball thing that you can roll around in, a slip-n –slide, and a PINATA.

luke, jeff & i were at mom’s house when she came home with a package for reese and one for tanner. Reese got a beautiful quilt. right before leaving mom’s, i checked my blog and saw that amy’s & brooke’s kids got quilts too.  so I was anxious the trip home to see if luke got one.  and guess what?  he did!

i had a baby shower 2 weeks ago. when my mom checked the mail that day, I got a package from staci. and inside was a quilt that she had made for my little girl.

jeff’s surgery

This morning @ 8, jeff had surgery on his nose.  we were supposed to be there @6:30 for pre-op.  we waited for an hour just to do that.  thanks to papa who took us and nana who stayed home with luke.  i had to go sit with him the whole time.  well, papa was there all that time, too.

papa & jeff waiting…   jeff had to fast for 8 hours prior.  not bad considering it was while he was sleeping.  but, by the time they took him back, he was getting hungry.  i don’t blame him.

the nurse took us back to pre-op. there they told us what would happen & we got to ask questions.  the doctor came in and said the surgery would only take 25 min and that he could go home an hour after that.  jeff got to wear a special gown.

AND he got these neat slippers 

after surgery, the doc came and told me that he did GREAT.  he said that his right side was completely infected.  he also said that his allergies were really bad (we could have told you that)  Anyway, he is doing well, and he says he can breathe a lot better, good thing-right? 

oh, and thanks to grandma nevada who is going to take luke tonight because she doesn’t have school tomorrow.  (she actually asked if luke could spend the night last week)

one down

this is my second post for today, but i thought it was blog-worthy.  We just paid off our first credit card.  we still have a few left, but we feel pretty good about having one gone completely.  we have started trying to pay down debt.  we are on our way and it feels great!!
