has no more
yesterday we took away luke’s binky for good. he did great all day yesterday and today. he even did awesome overnight
we went trick or treating in grandmas neighborhood. there was a block party on her street, so we got some yummy food first.
luke wasn’t much into the whole trick or treating thing at first, but then we caught up with tanner. he quickly got up the momentum after that.
luke didn’t like for people to put his candy in the bag for him. he had to get it himself. so, at some houses luke got a double helping,
we went to toys r us for their halloween deal. they gave out bags to all the kids. the kids got a little candy, too.
luke got to build a car out of legos. (with a little help from dad)
then, geoffrey, the giraffe came out to do a parade with the kids. luke was too afraid to go walk with him, but we got pics with him.
when my visiting teachers came over yesterday they asked me if i was going to the halloween party that night. ummm… what? how come i didn’t know about this? i am on the activities commitee and knew nothing about it. anyway, jeff had school and wasn’t able to go. so my v.t offered to pick up me and the kids. luke had a great time with her kids, one of which is in nursery with him.
luke refused to wear his monkey costume ( he had just been woken up from a nap and still a bit groggy) so, he was a skeleton. (thanks ray and nolan)
there were chili and hot dogs for dinner. each of the youth groups had a game booth set up. one of the booths was a bowling alley. luke loved this one. he got 2 srikes.
i forgot my camera so i missed out on some really cute pictures. i know, i know… what kind of mom forgets to bring her camera to a halloween party?
look what luke came home with:
AND we get to do this all again thursday night for grandma’s ward party. YEAH!!
this afternoon, luke slipped on a stool and split his chin open. we took him to mendy’s place ( a pediatric emergency room).
a couple hours and four stitches later we were out of there. he got blue stitches.
luke didn’t even cry much, even when he fell. he was such a great trooper during all of this. the doctor was even surprised at how well he did. after stitches, luke got a popsicle and he also got to choose a toy for being such a good boy.
we found this at walmart , & thought that luke would enjoy it.
boy, has he ever. this has been the first thing he does when he wakes up and goes at it all day. i love it when he enjoys something this much.
now when i start taking pictures of him, he holds up what ever he is playing with for the camera to see. man, does he have this pictures thing down. is that a sign that i take TOO many pictures?
great find for $17.
